NTDA SEEKS COLLABORATION WITH MINISTRY OF HOUSING
The Management team of New Towns Development Authority seeks collaboration of Ministry of Housing.
The Director, Engineering Services Department, Engr. Aderenle Olufemi Oni made this known during a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr.Wasiu Adedamola Akewusola .
The visit which bothered on developmental issues between the two government agencies responsible for the creation of satellite towns in the five divisions of the State as well as the decongestion of the State metropolis.
Engr. Oni stated that such a collaboration between the two government agencies would not only be beneficial and such partnerships with government agencies such as New Towns Development Authority whose one of the core mandate is the provision of site selection of new schemes for both government Agencies and Private Developers in the state.
He therefore solicited for cooperation with the Authority in the area of provision of more housing schemes so that Members of staff can also partake and benefit from such opportunities.
Engr. Oni also appreciated all the past achievements of the Permanent Secretary and used the opportunity to offer prayers for his recent birthday celebration and presented a gift to commemorate his special day.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Mr. Wasiu Akewusola who was the erstwhile former General Manager, New Towns Development Authority before his elevation as Permanent Secretary by His Excellency, Mr.Babajide Sanwo-Olu said that the visit of NTDA Management was home coming and a welcome development for him because he enjoyed the working relationship with the staff of Authority, he thanked them for the opportunity and atmosphere to work as one big family.
Akewusola, further said he would give all necessary support within his capability to ensure the two government agencies develop a strong, cordial and formidable relationship in the establishment and development of New towns in the State.
He also promised to ensure that there are more housing projects that will cater for the needs of Civil servants and the members of the public in the State.
